Common questions
How do I get Elevcam?
Elevcam is coming to the App Store for iPhone. Until then, tap Notify me on the home page and we’ll email you once on launch day.
Where are my photos kept?
Inside the app, on your iPhone only. They don’t appear in your Photos library until you save them there. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
How do I save a photo to my Photos library?
Open the photo and tap the save button, or select several photos in the Library and tap Save. Your edits are applied to the saved copy. The original in Elevcam stays untouched. Saving runs in the background, so you can keep shooting.
Which permissions does Elevcam ask for?
Camera to take photos and videos, Microphone to record sound with videos, Photos (add only) to save to your library, and Location only if you turn on Save location (off by default). You can change these any time in the iPhone Settings app.
I deleted a photo by mistake
In the Library, tap the archive button at the bottom to open Recently Deleted. Deleted items stay there for 30 days before they are removed for good.
What happens if I delete the app?
Everything stored inside Elevcam is deleted with it, including photos you haven’t saved to Photos. Save anything you want to keep first.
How do I stop photos recording my location?
Turn off Settings → Save location in the app. It is off by default. When it is on, the location is written into the photo file and travels with it when shared.
Does the film look work on video?
Yes. Elevcam shoots 4:3 video at 1440p, 24 or 30 fps, and the film look is applied to video too.
How do I get a film preset someone shared with me?
Scan their QR code with Scan in the Film Shelf or open their Elevcam link. Presets you receive or make appear under Your Film preset in the Film Shelf.
Can I bring in photos from my library?
Yes. Tap the import button in the Library and choose photos in Apple’s picker. Elevcam only receives the photos you pick.
What does Elevcam Pro include, and how do I restore it?
Pro unlocks every film (including films added later), Edit Pro (HSL, curves, colour grading and the deeper effects) and making your own looks. It’s available yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase. If you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone, use Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the same Apple Account. To cancel a yearly subscription, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Which languages does Elevcam support?
English and Vietnamese. You can switch the language inside the app, and choose a light or dark appearance.
